Dr. K. Joan Murphy is former Head of the Division of Gynaecologic Oncology at the University Health Network (UHN), Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Toronto and holds the J. Douglas Crashley Chair in Gynecologic Cancer Research.  She is on active staff in the joint University Health Network/Mount Sinai Hospital Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Division of Gynaecological Oncology and on consultant staff at the Hospital for Sick Children.   She has co-led the Toronto Ovarian Cancer Research Network, is actively involved in clinical research focusing on familial ovarian cancer risk assessment and gene expression profiling of BRCA mutation carriers with ovarian cancer and cervical cancer prevention and control.
